Spring View has eBooks! Our eBooks will work on many devices, such as generic eReaders, tablet computers, and smart phones. Nook and Kindle users can only access the titles through their browsers rather than actually downloading.  We have a few information books, but most are fiction.  We have some new, popular titles that you will love, as well as some classics!
How to Find eBooks
From a computer, navigate in to Destiny by way of the SV web page, and log in using the button on the top right hand corner of the screen.   Use your school network user name (7-digit ID #) and password.  Before doing your Destiny Quest search, choose the Advanced Search tab at the top and limit your search by "Format" and select "Electronic Book."  To see everything we have, enter "fiction" as your keyword search term, and most of them will come up. You can search on the school's Destiny system, and reserve eBooks to download later.  Or you can search from your mobile device.  Read on!
First ... a couple of free apps you will need on  your device.  Follett Destiny Quest  and Follett BryteWave.  Destiny Quest enables you to search our catalog from your mobile device and check out eBooks to yourself.  BryteWave is the eReader is where your books are downloaded (so that you can read offline without WiFi).  For Nook Color and Kindle Fire, you need to access eBooks through your web browser, by going through the GO library webpage and logging in to Destiny. BryteWave does not work with Kindle and Nook yet; you will only be able to read your eBooks online (with WiFi connected).
To check an eBook out, make sure you actually logged in to Destiny.  The first time you use an app on your device, you will need to point it to our catalog.    The URL for Destiny Quest is http://destiny.rocklin.k12.ca.us. Choose Spring View and then enter your network user name (7-digit ID #) and password to log in.  You will see your name in the upper right hand corner of the screen.  For BryteWave, you will also need to enter the URL for FollettShelf: http://wbb25776.follettshelf.com.     If you need some help, bring your device to school and ask for help in the library.
