Mission Statement:


The mission of the Spring View Middle School Counseling Department is to serve all students by providing a quality educational program, which ensures that each student has the opportunity to meet the student’s academic, career, personal, and social needs.

Spring View Middle School offers counseling in personal and social concerns, academic needs and career and college planning.
 
Upcoming Dates: 
  • August 9th- Parent Orientation 8:00- 9:30 *Attendance only needed if you did not make our spring orientation
  • August 9th- WEB Orientation for incoming 7th and new 8th graders  8:00-12:00  
  • August 10th- 8th grade schedule pick up *Email to follow with additional details 
  • August 11th- 7th grade schedule pick up *Email to follow with additional details
  • August 15th- Parent Meet and Greet TBD

College and Career Counseling

  • Career exploration activities
  • Career Day Event
  • Classroom instruction on the Six-Year Plan, including graduation and college requirements
  • Individual parent/student appointments available for college planning, decision-making, and application processes
  • View Career Awareness and Interest Inventory

Personal Counseling

  • Personal counseling is available to students upon request from a student or parent/guardian or by referral from a teacher, coach or administrator.
  • The school counselor is available to assist students with a wide range of personal problems. The counselor is not there to make decisions for the student, but can provide information which will help the student arrive at his or her own decisions.
  • School counselors are available for parent conferences and referral resources as needed or upon request.
  • Crisis intervention counseling, drug and alcohol abuse prevention information, education, and referrals are always available.
