INTRODUCTION
Spring View Middle School is structured in core academic teams. All teams have rigorous expectations in the core curricular areas of language arts, mathematics, social science and science. Students are expected to demonstrate mastery of the California Common Core State Standards. Teachers in every team are prepared to meet the needs of all students, including GATE, high achieving, struggling, and students with special needs. Identified GATE students will be placed in the same team unless otherwise requested by parents.

ADVANCED MATHEMATICS (BY PLACEMENT TEST)
Accelerated Math 7 is the first mathematics
course of the accelerated pathway offered by
Rocklin Unified School District. Accelerated
Math 7 consists of all seventh grade standards
in addition to a portion of the eighth grade
standards. Integrated I (a high school class)
is the next course offered in the advanced path-
way in 8th grade, which will cover the remaining
eighth grade standards in addition to all of the
Integrated I standards.
